The CORTEX Series Bidirectional Programmable DC Power Supply is based on a high-speed power electronics architecture that combines IGBT and third-generation SiC-MOSFET devices with an FPGA + DSP control platform. Apart from the precision, dynamics and responses enhanced on these architectures, CORTEX offers a high powe density of 30 kW from a single 3U modular chasis.
CORTEX 系列雙向可程式直流電源採用高速電力電子架構,結合了 IGBT 與第三代碳化矽 (SiC-MOSFET) 元件,並搭載 FPGA + DSP 控制平台。除了提升精度、動態響應外,CORTEX 更在單機 3U 的模組化機箱內實現了高達 30kW 的高功率密度。
High Precision: CORTEX series integrates a high-precision voltage and current measurement system with 6.5-digit accuracy, eliminating the need for separate high-precision instruments, ensuring accurate performance evaluation, especially in photovoltaic inverter testing.

CORTEX bidirectional DC power supply is DMPS (Digital Matrix Parallel System) supported thanks to which the benchtop single unit can be parallelled through high-speed fibre optic communication to achieve capability expansion up to 3MW without compromising individual unit's performance.
CORTEX, when mounted on standard rack as per IEC 60297, is with redundancy feature that keeps the whole chassis functional and free from the downtime in the event of faults with a specific slave module. Multiple units can be interconnected via fiber-optic communication. In the event of single unit or some slave units fail during operation (excluding output-side or AC-side protection events), the remaining units can automatically assume the load current and continue operation - thus remain the testing process uninterruptible and consistent.

CORTEX DC power supply is an advanced DC source that can automatically adjust on its own the output voltage and current while maintaining its output power according to its rated level. The function extends is range of services in terms of testing scenarios to deliver its full maximum power output across wider combination ranges of voltage and current.

CORTEX offers a flexible output mode switching thansk to which users are no longer required to pre-select a specific operating mode such as CV or CC as with those conventional programmable units. Rather, the mode switching with CORTEX DC is automatically realized based on user-defined target voltage and maximum current of the DUT against which the system automatically operates within these limits in either source or load mode and displays the active mode in real time. The function extends is range of services in terms of testing scenarios to deliver its full maximum power output across wider combination ranges of voltage and current.
CORTEX automatically realizes intelligent switching under Constant Voltage (CV), Constant Current (CC), and Constant Power (CP) modes based on P = U x I for which the system maintains ontrolled parameter while allowing the others to vary with load conditions, and automatically transitions to the appropriate mode when any limit is reached to ensure safe and stable operation.
In Constant Resistance (CR) mode, the device maintains a programmed equivalent internal resistance, behaving like a voltage source with a series “virtual resistance.” This causes output voltage to drop with increasing current, enabling realistic power source emulation and load behavior evaluation.

智能切換: 系統基於 $P = U \times I$ 公式,在恆壓 (CV)、恆流 (CC) 及恆功率 (CP) 模式間自動智能切換。系統會維持受控參數,同時允許其他參數隨負載條件變化,並在達到任何極限值時自動轉換至對應模式,確保操作安全穩定。
恆電阻 (CR) 模式: 設備維持設定的等效內阻,運作邏輯如同帶有串聯「虛擬電阻」的電壓源。這會導致輸出電壓隨電流增加而下降,從而實現真實的電源特性模擬與負載行為評估。
